Embark on an unforgettable shore excursion through the breathtaking Northwest of Madeira in a 4x4 vehicle with an open-top roof, perfect for soaking in the island’s stunning views. This journey takes you through lush valleys and climbs to elevations of up to 1500 meters, offering panoramic sights of the native forest, unique flora and fauna, and the iconic Madeiran water channels known as "levadas." Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights into the island’s natural and cultural history. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as there will be a short 15-minute walk to explore the levadas more closely. You'll also cross the rare Madeira plateau—the only flat area on the island—before making your way to the spectacular coastal village of Porto Moniz.
In Porto Moniz, you'll visit the famous volcanic lava pools, where, weather permitting, you’ll have the chance to take a refreshing swim in their crystal-clear waters. Lunch is optional but highly recommended, offering a delicious three-course meal with a beverage and coffee for just €12 per person. As the tour continues back toward the southern coast, enjoy breathtaking views of dramatic cliffs and cascading waterfalls. If you really want to see the best spots this is the one to go for. Great experience and seen so many beautiful views. Part of the trip was off road that's why they use 4x4 (so not just for show) Our guide was Louis who gave lots of information and pointed out the best places to take photos. Thank you Louis for the perfect day. Definitely recommend this tour organization. They offer different tours and we took the north-east one this time but will come back for others as well. 100% 5 star experience 👍
We had a great time on the Madeira East Peaks tour! Having a guide who knew all the best view points and places was amazing. They're flexible with pickup, the cost of them picking us up outside the usual zone was so much cheaper than a taxi!! The off roading is great for thrill seekers (I loved it). However, be warned, my wife was clinging on for dear life so you need a sense of adventure 🤣

I really enjoyed listening to his story about his experiences on Madeira and what brought him to the island. The places where we visited were super special and will always be in our memories. A must do on the island! It was the most fun day we had, we went to to the north part of the island. Roads a hired car would not survive 😆 Seen many beautiful places and our guide Pedro knew something to say about Everything we saw.
